Herbert Smith Freehills African Bursary 2015-16 awarded to Kafilat Aderibigbe

The Law Faculty is delighted to announce that Miss Kafilat Aderbigbe from Nigeria will be the recipient of the 2015-16 Herbert Smith Freehills African Bursary, a scheme established to support African students wishing to study the Masters in Corporate Law at the University of Cambridge.

Miss Kafilat Aderbigbe was awarded the Herbert Smith Freehills African Bursary following her academic achievement at Lagos State University, and will be commencing her studies at the University of Cambridge in October 2015.

Herbert Smith Freehills is a leading international law firm and long-term supporter of the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge, as well as a member of the Faculty of Law Practitioner Development Advisory Board.

In congratulating Miss Kafilat’s Aderbigbe on her success, Professor Brian Cheffins and Mr Richard Hooley (Co-directors of the MCL) said: "The Herbert Smith Freehills bursary scheme has been a wonderful initiative for the MCL that brings outstanding African corporate lawyers to Cambridge. We are extremely grateful for the firm’s generosity."
