Who joins the MCL?

Cambridge University is a globally renowned educational institution and the Law Faculty’s MCL students come from around the world. Each major region in the world is well-represented among MCL students, based on data from 2012-17:

While Cambridge welcomes applications to the MCL from those just completing their legal education as well as those who have embarked on their legal careers, MCL students often have prior practical experience (see below for data for 2012-17 MCL students). This reflects the fact that the MCL will be a valuable asset for those seeking to differentiate themselves in the rapidly evolving area of corporate-oriented legal practice.

The quality of the students that the MCL attracts is one of the programme's strongest assets.  A selection of students from recent cohorts have produced online profiles so you can find out about their experiences of studying the MCL at Cambridge
