Travers Smith MCL Bursary awarded to Maria Markou

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that the 2019-20 MCL Travers Smith Bursary has been awarded to Maria Markou. Ms. Markou has come to Cambridge from Greece, having graduated from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and worked as a trainee lawyer for two Athens law firms. Her Travers Smith Bursary is worth £6,000 and she will spend two weeks at Travers Smith's London offices on a programme of tailored work experience following completion of her MCL studies.

The MCL Travers Smith Bursary will be available again for the 2020-21 MCL applications round. The bursary will be awarded to an MCL student with an outstanding past academic record who is not the recipient of any other bursary, scholarship or studentship. In awarding the bursary preference will be given to candidates who have indicated, at the time of their application to the MCL course, that they are not able to meet the full funding requirements of the course from private sources. For more information see the MCL's Financial Matters page.
