Practitioners Advisory Board

The MCL Practitioners Advisory Board was established to perform two basic functions, both of which contribute substantially to the MCL course. First, members of the Board provide advice on the general direction of the course so as to ensure that the MCL has a strong practical dimension that students will value. Second, Board members, in cooperation with members of their firm, are involved in the teaching of the Deals course, primarily with respect to providing insights on the role lawyers play in relation to corporate transactions. Not all members of the Board participate in the teaching of the Deals course in a particular academic year but each will be involved in the near future.

The Law Faculty holds a reception each year that provides the MCL cohort with an opportunity to meet the members of the MCL Practitioners Advisory Board.

Each of the members of the Board is a distinguished practitioner with considerable corporate law expertise.

Mark Smith to join MCL teaching team in 2018-19
