What were you doing before the MCL?

After graduating with an LLB degree and postgraduate certificate in law from the University of Hong Kong, I worked in in the Hong Kong and Shanghai offices of a full-service international law firm, focusing on corporate & securities law, banking & finance, dispute resolution and foreign investment. Working as a solicitor in the commercial, mergers and acquisitions area, I developed a great interest in expanding my knowledge of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions.

What were your impressions of the MCL?

The MCL is renowned both for its commitment to small group teaching and the international diversity of students. Our cohort consisted of numerous qualified lawyers from all over the world, which prompted a vigorous exchange of experience and ideas. The instructors provided insightful and intellectual feedback that cultivated my critical and analytical skills.

What are your post-MCL plans and have they changed due to taking the MCL?

After completing the MCL, I would like to further utilise my skillset and experience in Hong Kong and/or England. With a widened professional network of legal practitioners and friendship built in Cambridge, I believe that the MCL experience will remain unforgettable and help me move forward with my career.
